INTRODUCTION:

Islam Group (IG) is a well-known group of Punjab, located in the core of biggest industrial hub of Pakistan comprising Gujranwala, Gujrat, Narrowal and Sialkot. Its head office is located on Pasrur road Sialkot.

The group started its professional activities in 2000 with the establishment of a state of the art hospital in the middle of Sialkot city with the name of “Islam Centre Hospital (ICH)”. The basic purpose of this hospital is to provide health care services for the people of Sialkot and its surrounding areas. After providing successful health services for the people of industrial hub especially Sialkot, the group has shifted major of their focus from already manufacturing industries to services (Health & Education) sectors by establishing the Islam Medical City at Pasrur road Sialkot in 2010. Here the group has established a Teaching Hospital and a Medical College with the title of Islam Medical College (Pvt.) Limited. Islam Medical City latterly grew in other education fields offering undergraduate teaching and training in Medical College, Dental College, Pharmacy College, Physical Therapy College and a Nursing College. Another 500 bedded Islam Teaching Hospital (ITH) was established under the umbrella of IMC (Pvt.) Ltd for the training of Medical and Dental students. The group has also established an Engineering and Technology College in Islam Education City with the approval of PEC (Pakistan Engineering Council) and in affiliation of UET (University of Engineering and Technology Lahore).

The group has also established a School and Intermediate College with the affiliation of respective boards in Sialkot in March 2015, with the name of “Islam International School and College”. The group has also achieved a land mark of Collaboration of Islam Medical College with PESSI Hospital in Daska through an MOU signed between IMC (Pvt.) Ltd. and PESSI.

Islam Education City, Gujranwala is another successful project where the group is offering undergraduate medical training in Medical College (Muhammad Islam Medical and Dental College, MIMDC), Muhammad Islam College of Pharmacy and Muhammad Islam College of Rehabilitation Medicine.  In Gujranawala, another 544 bedded hospital was established for the service of local communities and training of medical students.

We may mention here that we are operating;

1. 500 bedded hospital in Sialkot which is totally free for all type of consultancy and operations under the supervision of Professor Doctors.
2. 544 bedded hospital in Gujranwala which is totally free for all type of consultancy and operations under the supervision of Professor Doctors.

In 2015 the Management of Islam Group decided to go into diversification and expand its business again into the manufacturing sector. The manufacturing of pharmaceutical products is a related sector as the group already has its hospitals and acquired complete knowledge and technology. The company has  already establish market for its products in the shape of two of its big hospitals with the capacity of total 1100 beds and hundreds of outdoor patient’s per day.

In 2019 Islam Group began to start a new Project to established a word class University “Grand Asian University” in Sialkot. In December 20, 2021 charter was granted by Punjab Assembly and in May 19, 2022 accreditation / NOC was obtained by HEC. The Grand Asian University Sialkot offering wide range of associate, bachelor, master and doctoral degree programs. GAUS facilitating its region by providing free transport to different cities and providing platform of state-of-the-art labs facilities in faculty of Sciences, Pharmacy, Law & Engineering & Technology.
